JOHNNIE MOORE - The face behind the Gaza ‘Humanitarian’ Foundation (GHF)

UN says 1,373 killed while waiting for aid in Gaza, since May

International aid groups and the United Nations have refused to work with the GHF, saying it violates basic humanitarian principles by coordinating delivery with Israeli troops backed by privately hired and armed US security personnel.

Johnnie Moore the Exec Chair of the GHF

“The world may be silent, but Palestinians in Gaza know who's feeding them. Thank you, America." "Thank you, President Trump." We hear it every single day....”

In fact Moore’s assertion couldn’t be further from the truth. The UN, Human Rights Watch, Oxfam, and Doctors Without Borders have all condemned the GHD initiative, warning that it facilitates Israel’s control over the distribution of life-saving aid while failing to protect civilians. Critics describe the foundation as a “militarised aid scheme” that turns humanitarian corridors into zones of violence and death, rather than refuge, undermining international law and weaponizing starvation as a tool of war.

Remarkable that someone who is an extremist evangelical Christian Zionist, would be weaponizing Gaza's starvation.

“A man who advocates ethnic cleansing while controlling Gaza's only food supply. His appointment to lead the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation is a grotesque perversion of humanitarian aid.” Said ‘Frame The Globe’ political commentators.

We have a copy of the 40 page letter above from the Centre for Constitutional Rights in New York that was sent to Johnny Moore last month containing serious allegations about legal liability, complicity in international law violations, crimes against humanity and genocide. Ask us for a copy.

Netanyahu and his administration claimed that Hamas was diverting aid which is why they hired the GHF to run the system. However even Israeli officials anonymously told news outlets like The New York Times that there is no evidence food is being diverted to Hamas.

Still, Trump suggested otherwise.

“A lot of things have been stolen. They send money. They send food. And Hamas steals it,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One. “So it’s a tricky little game.”

So in light of these new allegations Trump says Israel will ‘preside over’ US aid distribution in Gaza, despite the mounting death tolls at the aid site.

He added that he trusted Israel to handle the distribution of US aid, in spite of chaotic operations that have resulted in Israeli troops firing on starving Palestinians.

“We’re going to be dealing with Israel. And we think they can do a good job of it,” Trump said. “They want to preside over the food centres to make sure the distribution is proper.”

It is not clear where and when the sites would be set up, and whether Israel would run them directly or through the GHF, a controversial US-backed aid foundation accused of unsafe practices.

Why the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation to oversee aid distribution?

The Jerusalem Post is quoted: “Moore’s exceptional dedication to Israel advocacy earned him the prestigious Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Medal of Valor, making him its youngest recipient. He consistently emphasizes the importance of supporting Israel.”

Notably, Moore has openly backed Trump’s widely condemned plan to forcibly displace Gaza’s population and transform the territory into a "Middle East Riviera", a vision seen as further entrenching Palestinian dispossession.

In February 2025, Moore tweeted: "President Trump always sees war through the eyes of its human cost… The USA will take full responsibility for the future of Gaza."

He followed with the assertion that "Anti-Zionism is antisemitism", conflating legitimate criticism of Israeli policies with hate speech.

Moore is a follower of Jerry Fallwell’s Christianity, the founder of the Liberty University. “𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 1971.”

From Wiki: The United Nations and many other aid groups refuse to cooperate with the GHF and accuse them of politicizing and "weaponizing aid", and delivering it in a manner that in unsafe and degrading to the Palestinian people. Former GHF head Jake Wood resigned over concerns about the organization's adherence to humanitarian principles, and questioned the organization's political neutrality.

The Road of Death aka the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation area

Our friend Mahmoud in Gaza calls the GHD distribution area, the Road of Death. With, its promise of a bag of flour, it doubles as a shooting gallery at the whims of the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF). If you arrive early, they'll shoot you. Move too fast, they'll shoot you.

Mahmoud wrote “at that moment, we were trapped, lying down in a hole, while an Israeli sniper was shooting directly at us. That day, a woman sitting behind me in that same hole was shot in the head — right between her eyes.”

Moore, in a Fox News op-ed, paints a different picture of the GHD site operations in they they are according to him “one of flawless logistics and divine providence.”

While Moore boasts "Over 7 million meals were delivered… no trucks seized, no aid diverted, no violence at distribution sites," Palestinians were being trampled in fenced lanes and shot while reaching for flour, tea bags, and lentils, all requiring water that Palestinians do not have. While he cites spontaneous gratitude from the Gazans, his account includes no mention of the casualties, the gunfire, the biometric surveillance, or the private contractors earning up to $1,000 per day to "protect" food distribution, despite having no training in humanitarian law or weapons discipline.

GHD reports monthly expenses are $140 million USD.

One U.S security contractor described the chaos at the GHF aids sites, in Zeteo:

“Metal lanes collapsed under pressure as desperate civilians were funneled into kill zones.” "What we—these American companies and contract personnel—are doing is directly leading to more pain, suffering, and death for the Palestinians in Gaza," he said.

The Israeli military is not-so-secretly embedded in GHF operations. U.S contractors shared radio communications with Israel Defense Forces (IDF) units, with snipers and tanks operating within earshot.

The contractor added, "I would not be surprised if the aid was delivered at night deliberately, given it would then draw people out, at which point they could be fired on as combatants, even though they weren't."

A Killing Field

Israeli newspaper Haaretz  recently published a military whistleblower report confirming that Israeli soldiers were ordered to shoot directly at unarmed Palestinians waiting at designated humanitarian aid sites—the very places GHF celebrates as sites of successful distribution.

One IDF soldier told Haaretz: "It's a killing field. Where I was stationed, between 1 and 5 people were killed every day. They're treated like a hostile force—no crowd-control measures, no tear gas—just live fire with everything imaginable: heavy machine guns, grenade launchers, mortars… I'm not aware of a single instance of return fire. There's no enemy, no weapons." The parallel testimonies of American contractors and Israeli soldiers expose a coordinated structure of lethal control masquerading as compassion. Aid becomes ambush. Flour becomes bait. Mercy becomes a mechanism of surveillance and control.

Huckabee praised the GHF as he visited the site in Rafah – one of four GHF sites where hundreds of Palestinians have been killed. In a social media post, he wrote: “GHF delivers more than one million meals a day, an incredible feat!”

  1. The UN human rights office said on Friday that 1,373 Palestinians have been killed while waiting for aid in the Gaza Strip since late May, most of them by the Israeli military, AFP reports. “In total, since 27 May, at least 1,373 Palestinians have been killed while seeking food; 859 in the vicinity of (US- and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation) sites and 514 along the routes of food convoys,” the UN agency’s office for the Palestinian territories said in a statement. “Most of these killings were committed by the Israeli military,” it added.

  2. Human Rights Watch on Friday accused Israeli forces operating outside US-backed aid centres in war-torn Gaza of “routinely opening fire” on Palestinian civilians seeking food, as well as using starvation as “a weapon of war”. “US-backed Israeli forces and private contractors have put in place a flawed, militarised aid distribution system that has turned aid distributions into regular bloodbaths,” said Belkis Wille, associate crisis and conflict director at Human Rights Watch.
